Upper & Lower School Language Partnership
Upper School student Fletcher Levin '18 was recently the guest Chinese teacher in Ms. Bueso's 4th grade Spanish class. He provided the students with family related phrases and vocabulary in Chinese, continuing a inter-language teaching program started this year between Ms. Bueso's Lower School Spanish class and Upper and Middle School Chinese students.
Fletcher is also Hackley's first ambassador of the US-China Strong Foundation, an initiative sponsored by President Obama to encourage the study of Chinese by American students. He was nominated as an ambassador to the Foundation by the China Institute earlier this year.
