Athletes of the Week, 10/2

Hackley Varsity Football player FJ Hogg ‘19 had an outstanding game last week in a decisive 54-12 win over Long Island Lutheran. FJ had an interception returned for a touchdown and five tackles for loss on Defense. On offense, he was instrumental in a rushing attack of over 400 yards of offense as well as a 20 yard reception.

Hackley Varsity Field Hockey player Ellie Arnold ’18 has been the main goal scorer for the Hornets in the past two contests. Most recently she scored both goals in a 2-1 overtime win over league foe Fieldston. This has earned her Player of the Game by the Journal News. 

Matt Dioguardi ’18 placed second overall for Hackley Boys Cross Country at the Bowdoin Invitational. Though it is only Matt’s second year running with the team, his work ethic and positive attitude have slotted him consistently in our top three boy’s spots. His improvement in such a short period of time has been incredible. This year he covered the infamously difficult Bowdoin course 18:54, exactly one minute and thirty seconds faster than he ran it one year ago.
