Fall Season Update: Girls Tennis
The Hackley Girls Varsity Tennis Team had a fantastic season. Throughout the campaign, the girls demonstrated great tennis skills, unbelievable work effort, a desire to compete, a unifying team spirit, and excellent sportsmanship.
Along the way there were many highlights including the play of the second doubles team of Leah Holmes ’20 and Maggie Broaddus ’20 who finished the season with a 10-1 league record, and were awarded 1st Team All Ivy honors for the second consecutive year. Also in doubles, the first team of Cosima Boettner ’18 and Kit Greenberg ’19 finished in second place in the NYSAIS doubles tournament.
Finally, as a team, the Hackley girls defeated Horace Mann on Alumni Day, which was their first victory over the previously undefeated Horace Mann in years. Overall, HGVT had a great season and is already looking forward to next year!
