The ACTFL Annual Convention and World Languages Expo is an international event bringing together more than 7,000 language educators from all languages, levels, and assignments. The goal of the conference is to provide a comprehensive professional development experience that will have an impact on language educators at all levels of teaching and in turn help their students to succeed in their language learning process.
Katherine shared her favorite method of building a growth mindset in her youngest of language learners. Those attending were asked to play the role of villagers and werewolves and participate in a narrated mystery game. She was honored by this opportunity to represent Hackley’s Modern Language Department and hopes to re-invent this particular presentation into a more in-depth workshop to be offered at ACTFL 2018 in New Orleans.
