Who's at YOUR feeder?

AFER has begun its annual contribution to Cornell’s Project Feederwatch. Read on to learn more.
People across the country are recording who is visiting their feeders. It is a wonderful way to see the pattern of migratory birds and how different bird populations are changing over the years. We monitor the bird feeders rain/snow or shine from December to April. This is our 8th year participating in the study. In addition the AFER students train to birds to eat out of their hands. This past week we had 3 chickadees and a titmouse eating out of the hands of two different seniors.
