Athletes of the Week, 12/18

Anna Sellon ’19, Tajah Burgher ’20, Giovanni Crispi ’18, and Spencer Diaz ’18 earned AOW honors this week. Read on.

Anna Sellon ‘19 has a perfect record so far this year on Girls’ Foil Fencing team. The team is currently undefeated due to Anna and the outstanding performances of all the girl foil fencers.
Tajah Burgher ’20 won the weighted throw event at the second Ivy League Indoor Track and Field meet last week at the Armory. Her throw of 28’ 6” won her the event and in doing so beat her personal record by over five feet.
Giovanni Crispi ’18 won the 182 lb weight class at the Lexington tourney with two pins. Since that time Giovanni has gone 5-1 including a big win against Dalton to be one of the top wrestlers at 182 lbs in the league.
Spencer Diaz ’18 has had a profound impact on the basketball team. His defensive skills and quickness has moved him into a starting position in the lineup. The coaches and team are very happy to have him on the court this season for the Hornets.
