Hackley Triathlete Earns All-American Status

Olivia Curran '19 competed in the International Triathlon Union (ITU) Sprint Age-Group World Championships in Rotterdam, Netherlands on September 17th, and finished 6th out of the field of 50 in the Women's 16-19 age group and 17th (out of 500) overall.

Olivia was chosen to represent Team-USA based on her Top-10 finish at the USA Triathlon Age-Group National Championships last August (2016) in Omaha, NE. Her race consisted of a 750m (1/2 mile) swim, 20km (12.4 mile) bike and 5k (3.1 mile) run. Olivia finished 3rd out of all American women, across all age groups. Over this summer, as preparation for Worlds, Olivia took two overall wins and one 2nd place finish in adult triathlons across the Northeast. Based on her performances this year, Olivia will be awarded USA Triathlon All-American status.
