From October 23 to November 03, the Hackley community collected a total of 226 coats, sweaters and jackets to donate to those in need. Read on...
A particular shout out to three students--Paul Peruzzi, CJ Augustin and Emily Rossman-- whose ambitious collection efforts more than doubled Hackley's total as they collected 120 coats between them from friends, family and neighbors.
Hackley donated 30 of the coats to Lifting Up Westchester, where they were given out on November 4 to homeless people in White Plains. The remaining 196 were donated to My Sister’s Place, where they will be given to the women and children that stay in the shelter.
