Spring US Debate Wrap Up

At the New York State Championship, sophomores Max Rosenblum and Madeline Zuckerman gave a strong performance in the varsity division and freshmen Ben Aybar and Ben Kirsch advanced to elimination rounds in the novice division! In Kentucky, juniors Philip Bonanno and Tucker Wilke competed at the Tournament of Champions, which is considered the premier national championship as teams can only attend if they have done well enough at other regular season tournaments. It is really an honor and testament to Philip and Tucker’s commitment that they even participated. They went against the top teams in the nation and finished with a 4-3 record, falling just shy of the record needed to advance to elimination rounds. The US PF team is proud of all of our students’ efforts and successes this season, and our debaters are looking forward to working on their skills over the summer and starting the new season next fall!
