Science and Art Come together in 5th Grade
The 5th grade recently completed their tree study in Science, learning to identify the native species here on Hackley’s campus.
Science Teacher Dan Lipin teamed up with Art Teacher Monica Carrier, to expand their study into a cross-curricular project to create leaf imprinted ceramic plates. Students solidified their identification knowledge while learning ceramic slab, imprint and glazing techniques. The results are a beautifully varied collection, celebrating Hackley’s forest.
