Happy Founder's Day!

On October 26, the entire Hackley community celebrated Founder’s Day in honor of Mrs. Hackley’s birthday. Established in 1911, Founder’s Day recognizes Mrs. Hackley’s commitment, forward thinking, perseverance, and philanthropy. CLICK HERE to view a vidoe celebrating Mrs. Hackley.

In a Founder’s Day speech given in 1940 it was noted, “From the foundations laid by Mrs. Hackley our school has risen strong, retaining the principles of education that Mrs. Hackley infused into the early school, adapting itself to the swiftly changing demands of modern society.” The school she built thrives today and still retains its core values of character, respect, honesty, intellectual curiosity, creativity, and courage.  She continues to be a role model on the Hilltop.
