Did You Know?

The Hackley archives is a treasure trove of interesting and fun facts about Hackley’s rich history. The archives is housed in the Hackley Alumni Association Room in Goodhue Memorial Hall and holds photographs, film, recordings, publications, yearbooks, trophies, documents, and memorabilia from 1899 - 2021.

Below are archival photos that might spark some fun memories. Alumni in the 50+ Club may remember the Clark Oval skating rink and Hilltop riding lessons; a few alumni might have even served dinner to Eleanor Roosevelt. Many alumni from the 1940s - 1980s probably used Gage Memorial Library as a quiet place to study. Our early 1990s alumni may have been in the audience when Barack Obama addressed the community as Hackley’s Forbes Lecturer. And alumni from the last 30 years may have found a creative outlet in the art room that was once the library. Please consider sharing your photos from your Hackley days or donating your memorabilia to the archives to preserve our history for future generations of Hornets!
