Julia Nathan '07's piece featured in Health Magazine

Health Magazine featured a piece by Julia Nathan '07 in its September issue, in which she opens up about her experience with skin removal surgery following major weight loss.

Nathan, a jewelry designer and writer in New York City, had done all the right things to lose weight: she consulted a doctor, she excercised, and she ate well. Yet despite her healthy lifestyle, she continued to gain pounds until she decided that weight loss surgery was right for her. Thanks to that surgery, she lost 110 pounds - but was still left with seven pounds of excess skin that was getting in the way of leading the healthy life she worked so hard for. In this piece, she addresses head-on the difficulties of going through that second surgery, as well as the stigma associated with skin removal surgery and weight loss surgery in general.
