Tough road loss in Brooklyn
Against a strong Poly Prep team Hackley were not at their best especially in the first half conceding two goals to the hosts.
One was was scored from a corner kick and the second from the top of the 18 yard box, goalie George Wangensteen had little chance with either.
In the second half the Hackley players contested the midfield with more tenacity but squandered their chances and gave up a third goal from the same Poly player who again shot from the top of the 18 yard box to put the contest out of reach.
The visit of undefeated Riverdale to the hilltop on Wednesday now takes on even more significance.
