Joel Miller '02 visits football practice

Hackley alum Joel Miller ’02 stopped by a pre-season football practice this summer to share a few thoughts with the Varsity Football team.

Miller was a key member of the football team until an injury prevented him from playing his senior year. He moved to Track & Field and continued to excel as a Hackley varsity athlete. At UPenn, he was roommates with fellow Hackley alum Patrick McDermott ’02, brother of Varsity Football Head Coach Joe McDermott ’14. Miller noted that some of his best times as a student-athlete were at Hackley football practices and that “lessons learned on the football field translate to all facets of life.”
