Michael Wirtz greeted the group upon arrival and Steve Bileca led the discussions, with input from division heads Andy King, Cyndy Jean and Anne Burns. The delegation was then divided up and observed classes in the Upper and Middle schools, receiving a campus tour from Hackley’s Ambassadors in between class visits.

Members of Hackley’s Upper and Middle School Chinese classes also had an opportunity to converse with the visitors during the day, practicing their Chinese and learning more about Guangdong province and its schools. An immediate outcome of the visit was a proposal to look at a WeChat correspondence exchange between Hackley and the Foshan Shunde Middle School students.

The Delegation presented Hackley administrators with a gift of a ceremonial fan.
