Hackley Fencers Triumph at ISFL Tournament
Fencing had an outstanding day at the Team Championships with competitors in three of the six weapons taking top honors in the tournament.
The highlight of the day was the girls’ saber team winning the team tournament title in convincing fashion. Mackenzie Jones ’21, Rebecca Steinberg ’20, Katherine Lee ’18 and Hannah Mark ’18 fenced incredibly well to bring home the tournament title. The Girls’ Epee team -- Tyler LaRoach ’18, Zaya Gooding ’19, Eva Bretz ’20 and Kathryn Fernholz ‘20 -- took second at the Tournament and their fencing throughout the season earned them the title of ISFL League Champions. Boys’ Foil took third in the team tournament.
Girls’ Saber and Boys’ Epee placed 2nd overall in the league, with Girls’ and Boys' Foil placing 3rd overall.
