Hackley Competes in the first HSPDP tournament of the season

On Saturday, November 10th, senior Parli co-captains Matt Traum and Liam Gonick competed in the first High School Public Debate Program (HSPDP) tournament of the season, debating 4 separate pre-announced and impromptu motions.

The seniors went 3-1 in their rounds, just missing the finals with a tough debate in the last round. The East Coast HSPDP league is run by Hackley to give other debaters an opportunity to try a different style of debate. Our next HSPDP event is on December 15th at the Wilberforce School in New Jersey.
