Cross Country Competes at Fed Meet

Hackley Boys Cross Country placed 17th at the New York State Federation Cross Country Championship on Saturday, November 23 at Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls. Hackley’s placement at the meet – which combines the best public and private school teams from across the state – made it the top-finishing team in Westchester County this season.

This was the boys’ team’s first appearance ever at Feds, a booking they earned by winning their first ever NYSAIS championship earlier this month. The boys will finish their season on the same course next Saturday at Nike Cross Regionals Northeast.

The team’s top finisher was Jonah Gorevic, who ran 16:51 on an extremely challenging 5k course, and medaled for his 34th place (21st in team placement) finish. The rest of Saturday’s squad included Brendan DiStefano, Will Rifkin, James Spencer, Charlie Rudge, Andrew Davis, and Eoin Breen.
